Why this exists
Plenty of groups.
Few of them local.
There is no shortage of women-in-tech communities. Most of them meet in London, which turns an evening of networking into a round trip on the Elizabeth line.
This one is different because of where it is. It meets in Essex, for the women who already work here.

From the founder
Eight years into GIS and I was still usually the only woman in the room. Talk to women in other corners of tech and the story repeats. This group exists so that stops being normal, whatever your bit of tech is.
